What is your life worth?
The world answers:
"Your power" "Your weath" "Your accomplishments" "Your family" "Your friends"
"Your intelligence" "Your work ethic" "Your dedication" "Your morals" "Your importance in the world"
"I don't know"
"Your worth is whatever you want it to be"
Jesus answered: "My life"
I've been thinking about this a lot lately.
Jesus DIED.
for me.
Jesus DIED.
for you.
Wow, I was imagining how my life would be different if one of my friends gave their life for me. How differently I would act. How every action would be in memory of what they did for me. Then I remembered Jesus died, for me. Jesus gave His life for me. I like to think that while Jesus was hanging dying; in pain and misery, completely alone, He saw my face as He hung on that cross. He saw my sin and He saw my potential and He saw His great love for me. Then He died, for me.
Jesus DIED.
for me.
Am I living my life in a way that remembers the fact that Jesus gave His life for me? Jesus thought I, Sarah, was worth dying for.
The best part is He thinks the same thing about YOUR life.
John 3:17 "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."
John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
